Mike Lampman

Michael David Lampman (born April 20, 1950) is a Canadian-born American defenseman who played college hockey at the University of Denver before being selected by the St. Louis Blues in the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft. He holds the distinction of being the first Southern California-trained player drafted into the NHL. Over four NHL seasons, Lampman appeared in 96 games with the Blues, Vancouver Canucks, and Washington Capitals — the latter acquiring him in the 1974 NHL Expansion Draft. He also logged time in the American Hockey League and Western Hockey League before retiring in 1977.
