Mike Ryan

River Ryan (born August 17, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher. A native of Huntersville, North Carolina, Ryan attended North Mecklenburg High School before playing four seasons as a two-way player at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The San Diego Padres selected him in the 11th round (340th overall) of the 2021 draft. Traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Matt Beaty in March 2022, Ryan was converted to a full-time pitcher and posted a 2.45 ERA with 70 strikeouts in 47⅔ innings split between Low-A Rancho Cucamonga and High-A Great Lakes that season.
