Thomas Michael Shannon (1939–2023) played nine seasons as a third baseman and right fielder for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1962 to 1970. A St. Louis native, Shannon was part of two World Series championship teams with the Cardinals, winning in 1964 and 1967. After his playing career ended, he transitioned to the broadcast booth, serving as a Cardinals radio broadcaster from 1972 to 2021.
