Thomas Michael Shannon (1939–2023) played nine seasons as a third baseman and right fielder for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1962 to 1970. A St. Louis native, Shannon was part of two World Series championship teams with the Cardinals, winning in 1964 and 1967.
