Milton Scott May (born August 1, 1950) played catcher in Major League Baseball from 1970 to 1984 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, and San Francisco Giants. Originally drafted as an infielder by Pittsburgh in the 11th round of the 1968 draft out of St. Petersburg High School, Florida, he was converted to catcher in the organization. A left-handed line drive hitter known for plate discipline and pitch-handling, he was also regarded as one of the slowest runners in the majors. He was part of Pittsburgh's 1971 World Series championship club, delivering a pinch-hit single in Game Four that drove in the winning run.
