Nick Mike-Mayer was a kicker who played in the National Football League from 1973 to 1982 with the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, and Buffalo Bills. Born in Bologna, Italy on March 1, 1950, he emigrated to the United States in 1964 and attended Passaic High School in New Jersey, where he began kicking after starting out on the soccer team. He earned a Pro Bowl selection in his rookie season. After his NFL career he played for the San Antonio Gunslingers in the USFL and later appeared in the Arena Football League with the Chicago Bruisers and Los Angeles Cobras, earning All-Arena honors in 1987. His brother Steve Mike-Mayer also played in the NFL.
