Dossier

Norman Victor Alexander Ullman (born December 26, 1935) was a Canadian centre who spent 20 NHL seasons with the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs. He turned pro with Detroit in 1955 after playing minor league and Western Hockey League hockey in his native Alberta. From 1957 to 1969 he recorded twelve consecutive 20-goal seasons, only the third player in NHL history to accomplish the feat. He led the league in goals in 1964–65 and earned a First Team All-Star nod that year, one of eleven All-Star Game selections. Traded to Toronto in March 1968, he scored his 400th NHL goal in 1970 and later reached 500 professional goals during two seasons with the WHA's Edmonton Oilers.
