Nub Beamer

Dossier
Clarence Marvin "Nub" Beamer Jr. (1936–2024) was a fullback who played college football at Oregon State University, appearing in the 1957 Rose Bowl against Iowa and scoring a touchdown. He turned professional in the Canadian Football League with the BC Lions in 1959. A two-time CFL All-Star, Beamer rushed for 1,161 yards in 1962—only the second Lion to reach that mark—and 914 yards in 1963, the year he played in the Grey Cup. He finished his career with 3,662 rushing yards before a pair of concussions forced his retirement.
