Robert Patrick Jarvis (born March 18, 1941, in Carlyle, Illinois) was a right-handed starting pitcher who spent eight National League seasons with the Atlanta Braves and Montreal Expos from 1966 to 1973. He attended Murray State University before signing with the Chicago Cubs and was subsequently traded to Atlanta in 1963. Voted the Braves' top rookie in 1966, Jarvis was among the National League's more reliable starters from 1967 to 1970, winning 60 games over that span. He started Game 3 of the 1969 NLCS against the New York Mets and in 1970 surrendered Ernie Banks' 500th career home run.
