Pat Richter (born September 9, 1941) played tight end for the Washington Redskins after a standout career at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he was a nine-time letterman in football, basketball, and baseball. He earned All-America honors in 1961 and 1962, led the Big Ten in receiving twice, and set a Rose Bowl record with 11 catches for 163 yards against USC in January 1963. Richter later served as athletic director at Wisconsin, where he hired Barry Alvarez as head football coach in 1990 and brought in basketball coaches Dick Bennett and Bo Ryan, both of whom reached the NCAA Tournament Final Four.
