Paul Dekker

Paul Nelson Dekker (February 24, 1931 – May 8, 2001) was a professional football end from Muskegon, Michigan, where he earned all-state honors twice at Muskegon High School. He played for the Michigan State Spartans from 1949 to 1952, starting his final two seasons and catching 13 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown as a senior. That 1952 Spartans squad finished 9–0 and claimed the school's first football national championship; Dekker was named to the Associated Press All-Western team that year. The Washington Redskins selected him in the third round of the 1953 NFL Draft, and he also played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL.
