Paul Maguire

Paul Leo Maguire (born August 22, 1938) played punter and linebacker in the AFL and NFL. He attended Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio, then played tight end at The Citadel, where he led the nation in touchdown receptions in 1959 and earned Third Team Associated Press All-American honors. Selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in 1960, he moved with the franchise to San Diego in 1961 before joining the Buffalo Bills in 1964. Known for his precision coffin-corner punting, Maguire contributed to three Bills Eastern Division titles and back-to-back AFL championships in 1964 and 1965.
