Paul Splittorff was a left-handed pitcher who spent his entire Major League Baseball career with the Kansas City Royals from 1970 to 1984. Born in Evansville, Indiana, and raised in Arlington Heights, Illinois, he attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, before being selected by Kansas City in the 25th round of the 1968 draft. He went on to become a fixture in the Royals rotation across fifteen seasons. Following his playing career, Splittorff transitioned to television as a color commentator for the Royals. He was inducted into the Royals Hall of Fame in 1987.
