Ervin "Pete" Fox (1909–1966) was a right fielder who played 13 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1933 to 1945. Born in Evansville, Indiana, he spent the bulk of his career with the Detroit Tigers (1933–1940) before finishing with the Boston Red Sox (1941–1945). Fox compiled a .298 career batting average and ranked among the American League leaders in batting average four times, posting a .331 mark in 1937. His .321 average in 1935 placed him third on the Tigers team that defeated the Chicago Cubs in the World Series. He also ranked among the league leaders in stolen bases seven times between 1934 and 1944.
