Phil Lumpkin (December 20, 1951 – November 2, 2009) was an American professional basketball player and high school basketball coach from Dayton, Ohio. A 6-foot-0 point guard, he played college basketball at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he led the team in scoring and assists across three seasons and helped Miami win the Mid-American Conference title as a junior in 1972–73. He was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the second round (34th overall) of the 1974 NBA Draft, choosing Portland over the Virginia Squires, who had also drafted him in the ABA.
