Michael Franklin "Pinky" Higgins (1909–1969) was a right-handed third baseman from Red Oak, Texas who played for three Major League Baseball clubs across a career that began with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1930. A product of W. H. Adamson High School in Dallas and the University of Texas at Austin, he emerged as a full-time player in 1933, posting a .314 average with 13 home runs and 99 RBIs in his rookie season. After his playing days he remained in the game as a manager, general manager, and scout, serving the Boston Red Sox organization in various capacities from 1955 through 1965.
