Raymond Leonard Culp Jr. (born August 6, 1941, in Elgin, Texas) was a right-handed pitcher who spent eleven seasons in Major League Baseball. A product of Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, Texas, Culp drew contract offers from 15 of the 16 major league clubs and signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as an undrafted free agent at age 17 for $100,000. He made his MLB debut with Philadelphia in 1963 and remained with the club through 1966, then pitched one season with the Chicago Cubs (1967) before joining the Boston Red Sox, where he played from 1968 through 1973.
