Charles Raymond (known as Ray Demmitt) (February 2, 1884 – February 19, 1956) was born in Illiopolis, Illinois. His professional career ran from 1909 through 1919, placing him squarely in the deadball era, and he is most closely identified with the New York Yankees of the AL. He was listed at 5'8" and 170 pounds. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. For collectors, his most recognized appearance is in the E90-1 American Caramel set. He died on February 19, 1956 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and was interred at Mount Pulaski Cemetery in Mount Pulaski, Illinois.
