John Joseph Murray (March 4, 1884 – December 4, 1958). A native of Arnot, Pennsylvania, he died in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Listed at 190 pounds, batted right-handed and threw right. He worked the major leagues from 1906 through 1917, spending the bulk of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals of the National League. He had turned professional back in 1904, several seasons before his big-league debut. His pre-war card record spans E125 American Caramel Die Cuts, E97 Briggs Lozenges, and T204 Ramly. He is interred at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery in Elmira, New York.
