Red Smith

Dominic Smith, born June 15, 1995, in Gardena, California, is a professional baseball first baseman and left fielder. He attended Junípero Serra High School, where he helped lead the team to the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section division championship in 2013. The New York Mets selected him with the 11th overall pick in the 2013 MLB draft, and he signed for a $2.6 million bonus rather than enroll at the University of Southern California. He made his MLB debut in 2017 and has since appeared for the Mets, Washington Nationals, Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants, and Atlanta Braves.
