Richard Eugene Manning (born September 2, 1954) played center field in the American League from 1975 to 1987, spending the bulk of his career with the Cleveland Indians (1975–1983) before finishing with the Milwaukee Brewers (1983–1987). Selected second overall in the 1972 MLB draft, Manning made his major league debut with Cleveland in 1975 and earned the American League Gold Glove Award for his outfield defense in 1976. Since 1990 he has served as a color commentator for Cleveland Guardians telecasts.
