Rick Reuschel

Dossier
Rick Reuschel, nicknamed "Big Daddy," was a right-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1972 to 1991. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, he won 214 games and posted a career 3.37 ERA, relying on a deceptive style that kept hitters off balance through constant changes in pitch speed. His brother Paul Reuschel also pitched for the Chicago Cubs, and on August 21, 1975, the two became the only siblings to combine on a shutout, a 7–0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in which Rick started and Paul finished.
