Rik Bonness (born March 20, 1954, in Borger, Texas) played college football as a center for the Nebraska Cornhuskers under head coach Tom Osborne, earning consensus first-team All-American honors in 1975 from the AP, UPI, Walter Camp Foundation, AFCA, FWAA, and Football News. Selected by the Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 1976 NFL Draft (84th overall), he transitioned to linebacker and spent four seasons in the NFL with the Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
