Robin Yount spent his entire 20-year Major League Baseball career with the Milwaukee Brewers (1974–93), playing shortstop and center fielder. Born September 16, 1955, in Danville, Illinois, he was the third overall pick in the 1973 draft and reached the majors at age 18. Yount won two American League Most Valuable Player awards and in 1982 led the Brewers to a World Series appearance. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999 in his first year of eligibility.
