Ron McDole

Roland Owen "Ron" McDole (born September 9, 1939, in Chester, Ohio) was a defensive end who played professional football in both the American Football League and the National Football League. He attended the University of Nebraska from 1957 to 1960, where he played multiple positions along the offensive and defensive lines before settling at 232 pounds and earning co-captain honors as a senior. Before committing to football, McDole had an opportunity to enter the Detroit Tigers' baseball organization. He prepped at DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio, where he also played first base.
