Ron Perranoski (April 1, 1936 – October 2, 2020) was a left-handed relief pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1961 to 1973. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, he attended Michigan State University before beginning his professional career. Perranoski spent the bulk of his playing days with the Los Angeles Dodgers, appearing in three World Series, and also played for the Minnesota Twins — where he was part of two consecutive American League Western Division title teams — along with the Detroit Tigers and California Angels. After retiring as a player, he served as a Major League pitching coach, winning two additional World Series with the Dodgers in the 1980s.
