George William "Rube" Ellis (November 17, 1885 – March 13, 1938) was a professional baseball player. He was born in Downey, California. He stood 6'0" and weighed 170 pounds, batting and throwing left-handed. He played in the major leagues from 1909 through 1912, primarily with the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL. His broader professional career spanned 1905 to 1925. He appears on E254 Colgan's Chips, E90-1 American Caramel, and E92 Nadja Caramels. He died on March 13, 1938 in Pico Rivera, California. He is buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
