Jacob Bowman "Rube" Geyer (March 26, 1884 – October 12, 1962) was born in Allegheny, Pennsylvania. His professional career ran from 1910 through 1913, placing him squarely in the deadball era, and he is most closely identified with the St. Louis Cardinals of the NL. After his major-league days ended in 1913, he continued in professional ball through 1915. He was listed at 5'10" and 170 pounds. He batted and threw right-handed. For collectors, his most recognized appearance is in the iconic T206 White Border tobacco set issued 1909-11 by the American Tobacco Company. He died on October 12, 1962 in Wahkon, Minnesota and was interred at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora, Minnesota.
