Walter Sanderson Manning (April 29, 1883 – April 23, 1930). A native of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, he died in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Standing 6-foot-0 and listed at 180 pounds, batted right-handed and threw right. He worked the major leagues from 1907 through 1910, spending the bulk of his career with the New York Yankees of the American League. His professional career stretched from 1905 to 1917, bracketing his big-league time with seasons in the minors at both ends. Among collectors of the era, his card appearance is anchored by the T204 Ramly issue. He is interred at Wildwood Cemetery in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
