Russell Blinco

Russell Percival Blinco (March 12, 1906 – June 28, 1982) was a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who played six seasons in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Maroons and Chicago Black Hawks. After stints with the Brooklyn Crescents and Windsor Bulldogs in the minor leagues, Blinco joined the Maroons mid-season in 1933–34, recording 23 points in 34 games and earning the Calder Memorial Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year. The following season he helped Montreal defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs in three games to win the 1935 Stanley Cup.
