Samuel Esposito (December 15, 1931 – July 9, 2018) was a professional baseball infielder who played third base and shortstop in Major League Baseball over ten seasons. A right-handed hitter who stood 5-foot-9, Esposito spent the bulk of his career with the Chicago White Sox (1952, 1955–1963) before finishing with the Kansas City Athletics in 1963. He appeared in 560 games, batting .207 with 73 RBI. In 1959 he was part of the White Sox club that won the American League pennant, appearing in Game 1 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. After his playing career, he served as head baseball coach at North Carolina State University from 1967 to 1987.
