Sabath Anthony "Sam" Mele (January 21, 1922 – May 1, 2017) was an American right fielder, manager, coach, and scout in Major League Baseball. Born in Queens, New York, to Italian immigrant parents, Mele was the nephew of major league players Tony and Al Cuccinello. He attended New York University, where he also excelled in basketball. As a manager, Mele led the Minnesota Twins to their first American League championship in 1965.
