Scott Courts

Scott Courts was a professional basketball player born March 28, 1961, who grew up in Inglewood, California. He played college basketball at Arizona State University, earning Pac-10 Freshman of the Year honors in 1980 and First-team All-Pac-10 recognition in 1983, averaging 17.5 points per game across his three seasons with the Sun Devils. Arizona State retired his No. 11 in 2011. Selected fourth overall by the San Diego Clippers in the 1983 NBA draft, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won three NBA championships during the franchise's Showtime era in the 1980s.
