Shigeru Sugishita (1925–2023) was a Japanese professional baseball pitcher who spent ten of his eleven seasons with the Chunichi/Nagoya Dragons. Known for his forkball, Sugishita was the dominant pitcher in the Central League from 1950 to 1955, winning at least 23 games each season and topping 30 wins twice. He won three Eiji Sawamura Awards (1951, 1952, 1954) and was named Central League MVP in 1954, when he posted a 32–12 record with a 1.39 ERA across 395 innings. He attended Meiji University before beginning his professional career.
