Steve Hargan was a right-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1965 to 1977, spending the bulk of his career with the Cleveland Indians. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Hargan grew up playing Pony League and Connie Mack League baseball after his high school did not field an organized team, and signed with Cleveland following a tryout at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. He made his major-league debut on August 2, 1965, starting against the Detroit Tigers and Mickey Lolich.
