Steve Tannen

Steve Tannen (born July 23, 1948, in Miami, Florida) was a defensive back in the National Football League who played five seasons during the early 1970s. Tannen attended the University of Florida, where he earned All-American recognition playing for the Florida Gators. A first-round selection in the 1970 NFL Draft, he spent his entire professional career with the New York Jets. Before his college career, Tannen was a multi-event track and field athlete at Southwest Miami High School, and in 2007 the FHSAA named him one of the 100 Greatest Players of the First 100 Years of Florida high school football.
