Stephen Michael Tensi (1942–2024) was a quarterback who played in both the American Football League and the National Football League. He attended Elder High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, before playing college football at Florida State University. His senior season in 1964 stood out: Tensi threw for 1,683 yards and 14 touchdowns across ten games as the Seminoles went 9–1–1, their best record to that point, with wins that included a victory over fifth-ranked Kentucky. He turned professional with the San Diego Chargers from 1965 to 1966, then moved to the Denver Broncos, where he played from 1967 to 1970.
