David "Sweeney" Schriner (November 30, 1911 – July 4, 1990) was a Russian-born Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent 11 seasons as a forward in the National Hockey League with the New York Americans and Toronto Maple Leafs. He won the NHL Rookie of the Year award in 1934–35 and led the league in scoring in both 1935–36 and 1936–37. Schriner won two Stanley Cup championships with Toronto, in 1942 and 1945, and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1962.
