Ted Savage (born February 21, 1937, Venice, Illinois; died January 12, 2023) was an American professional baseball outfielder who played in Major League Baseball from 1962 to 1971. After attending Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri, and serving three years in the U.S. Army, Savage signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as an amateur free agent in 1960. He won the International League Most Valuable Player Award in 1961 after batting .325 for the Buffalo Bisons. Over his career he appeared with eight clubs, including the Phillies, Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers, Reds, and Kansas City Royals.
