Terry Murray (born July 20, 1950, in Shawville, Quebec) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and coach. A defenceman, he was drafted by the California Golden Seals in the 1970 NHL Entry Draft and went on to play for the Philadelphia Flyers, Detroit Red Wings, and Washington Capitals before retiring after the 1981–82 season. He transitioned to coaching as an assistant under his brother Bryan Murray with the Washington Capitals, forming the NHL's first brother coaching combination. He later served as head coach of the Capitals, Flyers, Florida Panthers, and Los Angeles Kings.
