Terry Tyler

Terry Tyler (born October 30, 1956) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'7" forward out of Northwestern High School, Tyler played college basketball at the University of Detroit under coach Dick Vitale from 1974 to 1978, averaging 16.4 points and 12.6 rebounds per game as a senior. He scored 1,649 career points and set a school record with 359 blocked shots. The Titans reached the 1977 NCAA Tournament, advancing past Middle Tennessee before falling to Michigan in the Sweet 16. Tyler was inducted into the Detroit Mercy Titans Hall of Fame in 2001.
