Luther "Ticky" Burden (February 28, 1953 – October 29, 2015) was a guard who played at the University of Utah before turning pro as a hardship case following his junior season. At Utah, he averaged 28.7 points per game in 1975 and set the Western Athletic Conference record for field goals in a season with 359. He represented the United States at the 1974 FIBA World Championship, winning a bronze medal and averaging 20.2 points per game, a Team USA record at the time. Drafted by both the Virginia Squires (ABA) and the New York Knicks (NBA), he initially signed with Virginia before joining New York.
