Thomas "Tim" Foley (January 22, 1948 – September 24, 2023) played defensive back for the Miami Dolphins across 11 NFL seasons (1970–1980). Before turning pro, Foley earned All-American honors at Purdue in 1969 and was a two-time Academic All-American (1968–69). With Miami, he set an NFL record on November 11, 1974, returning two blocked punts for touchdowns in a single game against the Baltimore Colts. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1979. Foley was inducted into the CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1997.
