Tom Nowatzke

Thomas Matthew Nowatzke (born September 30, 1942, in La Porte, Indiana) was a fullback in the National Football League from 1965 to 1972. He played college football at Indiana University, where he led the Big Ten in rushing during his junior year and scored 73 points in a season, an IU record at the time. Nowatzke spent his first five NFL seasons with the Detroit Lions (1965–1969) before joining the Baltimore Colts (1970–1972), with whom he finished his professional career. He had also earned All-State honors in football and basketball at Elston High School in Michigan City, Indiana.
