Tom Wittum (January 11, 1950 – January 22, 2010) was a professional football punter who played five seasons in the NFL from 1973 to 1977 with the San Francisco 49ers. A native of Berwyn, Illinois, Wittum attended Northern Illinois University, where he was a three-year football letterman and four-year baseball letterman. He graduated holding 10 NIU kicking records, including career, single-season, and single-game marks for punts, punting yards, and punting average. He was selected to two Pro Bowls during his NFL career and was inducted into the NIU Hall of Fame in 1987.
