Tommie Lee Agee (1942–2001) was a center fielder who played in Major League Baseball from 1962 through 1973. Born in Magnolia, Alabama, he attended Grambling State University before signing with the Cleveland Indians. A two-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove Award winner, Agee earned AL Rookie of the Year honors with the Chicago White Sox in 1966. He is best remembered as a member of the 1969 New York Mets, where two outstanding defensive plays in Game 3 of the World Series helped secure a Mets victory over the Baltimore Orioles. He was posthumously inducted into the New York Mets Hall of Fame in 2002.
