Dwyane Wade, a shooting guard born January 17, 1982, played 16 seasons primarily with the Miami Heat. After leading the Marquette Golden Eagles to the Final Four in 2003, Wade was selected fifth overall in the 2003 NBA Draft. In his third professional season he led Miami to its first NBA Championship and was named the 2006 Finals MVP. Wade earned 13 NBA All-Star selections, eight All-NBA Team honors, and three All-Defensive Team designations. He remains Miami's all-time leader in points, games played, assists, and steals. He also led the United States men's basketball team in scoring at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
