Urpo Ylönen (born 25 May 1943 in Käkisalmi, Finland) is a retired professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the SM-liiga for TuTo and TPS. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988 and the IIHF Hall of Fame in 1997. The SM-liiga's annual goaltender of the year award bears his name — the Urpo Ylönen Trophy. Following his playing career, he became head goaltending coach at TPS, developing top-level goalies including Miikka Kiprusoff, Antero Niittymäki, and Ari Sulander.
