Thomas Vernon Ayres (1909–1968) was a Canadian ice hockey defenceman who played twelve seasons of professional hockey, six of them in the National Hockey League. During his NHL career he suited up for the New York Americans, Montreal Maroons, St. Louis Eagles, and New York Rangers.
