William Walker Cooper (January 8, 1915 – April 11, 1991) was a professional baseball catcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1940 to 1957. A native of Atherton, Missouri, Cooper spent his most prominent years with the St. Louis Cardinals, winning two World Series championships. He earned eight All-Star selections, appearing on the National League squad every year from 1942 to 1950, and was regarded as one of the premier catchers in the game during the 1940s. His older brother Mort Cooper also played in the majors as a pitcher.
