Waldon Thomas Westlake (November 8, 1920 – September 5, 2019) played ten seasons in Major League Baseball from 1947 to 1956, primarily as an outfielder with some appearances at third base. The Gridley, California native suited up for six clubs across both leagues, including the Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, Cleveland Indians, and Baltimore Orioles. He hit for the cycle twice as a Pirate — July 30, 1948, against Brooklyn, and June 14, 1949, against Boston. Westlake was named to the 1951 National League All-Star team and appeared in two games of the 1954 World Series with Cleveland.
